First of all welcome. I have been considering new races but I don't know if half-werewolves-half-demons would fit into the overall story... You could, however, have your character be a mage, wizard/witch/warlock who can shapeshift. Demon powers, to a certain extent, can be blended in... I do hope that helps.
???Hi um i'm new 2 this forum ^^ and btw i think it's super cool! XD but i have an R.P character that i have kept with me for as long as i have been roleplaying(which is quite awhile lol)and while i was looking at the races i noticed that my characters race is not in there, and i was wondering if it was okay if i was able 2 keep my characters race the same? She is half demon/half werewolf(becuz she can change into a wolf at will) so i was just asking if this was alright? ;D i'll be just fine if i have 2 edit her a little for this forum but i would rather keeping her the same :-/ but i honestly would'nt mind. Thnx for ur help :)

"Naturally," she said, a cold smile playing on her red lips. Miranda took the wine glass sitting on the table between them and poured the red liquid into the two crystal cups, making sure the gentleman in front of her understood that comments were not welcome. Cognac coloured eyes met green ones. "First off, Valentine, I am not yours nor am I anyone else's. Second, the purpose of history is to help us learn from the mistakes of others. If you touch a flame once, you are not likely to do it a second time. Why must we subject ourselves to the same errors our ancestors did?" She laughed softly, as if to brush away his fears. "I understand your concern since it is mine, too. But I will not allow history to repeat itself."
Her smile was pleasant as was her voice. She was concentrating on business now. This alliance was the most important thing, a factor that could influence everything. It was more important than she allowed him to know so a little politeness could go long way. After all, Valentine was a very handsome and charming man, that any woman could see clearly. There was no use in denying it.
"Options are what you make of them," she half-whispered, looking into his eyes once more. "And I always mean what I say, Valentine. As I recall, though," the woman stated, leaning back into her chair with a playful glimmer in her eyes, "humans weren't any more fond of us as we were of them."

"Always to the point, I see" came his answer as he sat down next to her, placing his hands on the armrests of the chair. He looked at the woman, contemplating the reason behind their meeting. Obviously, part of it had suffered an untimely death, but the rest remained. "Yes, my dear Miranda, I have. And what an interesting proposition at that." He leaned closer to her, as if the empty room was fool of curious ears. "An alliance did not go so well the last time. What, pray tell, makes you think it will be any different now?"
Valentine's face, too young for the position he held, clouded as he recalled the stories of old. The War of the Ancients had thrown blame on his people, his people alone, leaving the other two races free of guilt. That, he could not accept.
"Have the magi reconsidered their opinions? Did you, by any chance, come to bury the war once and for all?" A smile came as soon as it had disappeared, a charming, warm one to hide the sarcasm. He was aware of her powers, knew that this apparently delicate woman could bring his death as soon as she could help him. A risk was always involved, especially these days. Lucky he enjoyed gambling. "Or was the letter you sent me just a pretence?"

Kain laughed. "Well, atleast tell her that the muffins were very good." He said, finishing the food that had just been given to him.
"Well, I think I'm going to go to the castle anyways." He said, knowing that he was sort of inviting himself, and he mentally slapped himself. "I mean, if that's alright. I would like to see the castle in action, on a normal basis. Maybe even explore the surrounding areas a bit." This was true, now faced with this grand opportunity, he couldn't help but ask. What harm could come of it?
"Maybe one day you'll get a cat of your own then. When you do, let me know. Kenai would love to hang out with it!" He gleamed, knowing how much Kenai would appreciate an animal companion.

Twelve soft 'dings' flowed to them from bellow, announcing the arrival of a new day. Her answering smile was as pleasant as his, which was to be expected. They were on official business, despite the late hour and unofficial settings. She nodded at his words, both as a 'thank you' and acknowledgment that she had heard him. The witch allowed him to finish before she said anything else, letting him have his little moment, well aware of his reputation.
She sat when he suggested it, arranging the folds of her robe and undoing her cloak before she set it on the back of the armchair. Miranda looked straight into his eyes and tapped the table with her long fingers.
"Charming, Valentine. Your words are appreciated, but what do you say we concentrate on the matter at hand?" She wasn't one for small talk, not tonight at least. The purpose of their rendez-vous was too important to ignore. "Have you given any thought to my proposition?"

Meeting the Head Witch... Now here was something to help with his boredom. Valentine grinned as he looked out the window. He payed for the room a day before and had it cleaned and prepared to perfection. The king brushed a nonexistent bit of dust off of his clothes and turned around, walking to a candle and lighting it. Its razes fell on his face, shadows playing on his features.
The reason he sent his servant with the letter was his desire to meet this elusive witch. For someone of her importance, seeing her in the castle proved rather tricky. And Valentine was a man who always got what he wanted. Right now, that was meeting this woman.
He trusted she would appear at midnight, like he requested. She seemed a woman of her word. And it was in her best interest that they met. The rumors about her intention to unite all races of Veridia hadn't escaped his curious ears.
Valentine saw a figure move outside, a shadow among shadows, and smiled. This must be her, he thought and opened the curtains more to follow her with his gaze. He wasn't surprised when the door opened nor did he turn around.
"Ah, welcome my lady." His smile persisted as he moved to face her. Hmm. Her reputation didn't do her justice. His brow arched and he looked at her, impressed. Valentine walked to her and took her hand, lightly kissing her fingers. "I'm delighted to finally see you. Do call me Valentine." He pulled back and looked at her, giving his trademark charming smile.
"Did you have an enjoyable journey? I hope you did not find my choice of moment upsetting." His voice was soft as he guided her to a couple of armchairs. "Please sit, my lady. Me have many things to discuss." And not all were business. After all, all work and no play...

"Oh, no need to worry," she commented lightly, "I make Amabel throw this at me on a regular basis." It was indeed a surprising attitude towards one of the leaders of magic wielders, but Amabel had raised her, like mentioned earlier. "She treats me like a daughter, to be honest. A misbehaving one at that." Miranda chuckled. "That would be interesting. I think I'd enjoy her expression."
She watched him, silent again, wondering and half guessing what he was thinking about, refusing to ask yet, though. A few seconds after he laughed, she did ask "Maybe?"
Miranda smiled and looked at both friends. If she had been a little softer, it would have made her wish she had such a friend. But the truth was that it wasn't something she could handle, since she preferred to only share her thoughts and feelings once she figured them out herself. It was a beautiful sight nonetheless.
"Oh, no, never could decide on it." Her mother wouldn't have allowed it either way. She would have wanted her daughter to concentrate on her studies, not on 'fooling around' like she called it.

A breeze made the curtains tremble as if somebody had touched them not a moment earlier, but nothing else moved in the castle. Its halls were silent, its walls cold, its paintings no more than dots of colour in the darkness. The ones who should have been awake, the guards, had fallen asleep at the entrances, knowing that powerful ward spells would help them get away with it.
In the Head Witch's chambers, the situation was different. The young woman was walking to her private bathroom, looking at a piece of parchment her delicate hands held tightly. She was completely dressed, in a black corset dress that had lace cascading at all the hems, her curls covered her otherwise naked shoulders.
This was it. The chance she had been waiting for. The possible solution to her problems. The paper was a letter from Allard Valentine Arkwright. The King himself sent her a letter - not that she was in any way less powerful or respected. A smug smile danced on her red lips. Indeed, no less powerful. She was anything but that, she made sure of it since as far as she could remember after understanding its importance. And now her work was completing itself.
The time was here. It would take her just long enough to reach The Inn before midnight. She threw a cloak over her shoulders and proceeded to rush out the door, walking down the hallways like she owned them - true for some of them. Her gaze stopped on the sleeping guards and her eyes narrowed. With a movement of her hand, the legs of their chairs broke and the men found themselves on the floor, looking around disoriented. But the witch didn't wait for their explanations. Her destination was the stables.
From the castle to the Inn wasn't such a long journey by horse and considering the fact that hers was no regular horse, it took even less. Rose was specially trained by her master to run like the wind. And, of course, some special food helped.
When she arrived at the Inn, a young man, a boy, took her precious black mere to safety, not before she gave him strict indications and a few select threats. Then she opened the doors herself and went straight for a certain table, where Valentine had suggested they meet. It shouldn't take long for him to arrive. The man was many things, but a coward or idiot he was not. She arranged her skirts and waited, interrupted by the Innkeeper who came to ask if he could help her.
She was about to answer when recognition sparked in the old man's eyes. "Ah, Miss, a man is waiting for you. He told me to bring you right to him."
"Of course," she answered and got up, walking after the innkeeper, following him to the second floor. She smiled to herself. The second floor was the most expensive and pompous. It fit Valentine like a glove.
The innkeeper opened the second door to his right and bowed before her, inviting her to enter. Which she did.
"Good evening, my lord. I see you keep your word quite nicely." Miranda's smile was full of dignity but tinted with her impish nature. She looked at the tall man standing by the window and took a step inside the grandiose room, admiring the splendid architecture and old furniture.

Kain chuckled softly. "Well, I must say I'll feel bad about that," He said, speaking of the rolling pin. "Maybe I'll show up randomly, and jump in front of you, or something. Since, i'm eating the muffins." He smiled, half-joking. He was seriously thinking of going to the Castle, yet, he wasn't willing to tell her that. After all, he didn't want to invite himself to go, sooner than the ball was occuring. It seemed rude.
"Maybe..." He said, slightly dreamily, half in a daze, thinking about the ball. He imagined grandeur, and sophisticated people all around him, and thought about how odd he would look in the middle of it all. It almost made him laugh, realizing how many strange looks he would get. "If we were destined to meet, then I'm glad. We really do have a great friendship," He nodded, and Kenai peered over at him, looking proud.
"Never?" He asked, slightly suprised. She seemed to be excellent with Kenai. He gladly drank, and ate the muffins. It had been so long since he ate this sort of food, that he was savoring as much as he could. Who knew when he would enjoy this simple luxury again?
Re: Waiting... [Open to all] « Result #18 on Apr 26, 2009, 12:55am »
She shrugged gently, as delicate as ever. "You'd be surprised how many do just that, if the older ones don't look over them. Then again, spells drain you. And you have to get the food from somewhere you know of, you can't produce it." Miranda muttered and made a plate of muffins appear. "Here is an example," the witch said, handing the plate to the elf, "we enjoy these now, but when I get back, a rolling pin will fly towards my forehead with expert precision." She laughed after she said this.
Her eyes went to the feline and she could imagine the panther as a kitten, however hard it might prove in the present. There were some things you learned when being in the presence of cats, big or small.
"Maybe it was faith" Miranda suggested, "Maybe you two were supposed to meet." Many times, she didn't believe in faith, herself. In spite of this, it was a rare occasion when she downright deny a possibility, whatever it might be. "It sounds like what you two have is very special. I'm quite certain that, even if cats are cold by nature, he must feel the same way." You could tell it was true, even if Miranda suspected Kenai would say the opposite if he could talk.
"I never had a real pet." She smiled. "It's true, I did grow up with cats, but I didn't have enough time to have one of my own." Someone else would have sighed, but it wasn't like her. Instead she smiled softly and made a crystal glass appear next to the muffins. Let the pieces fall when she returned, surely the anger of one old lady was within her ability to survive.

Name: Allard Valentine Arkwright
Age: 30
Race: Human
Alliance: His own, his people's.
Occupation: Paladin, King of Men
General Appearance:
Height: 1.85 meters
Hair colour: Dark brown
Eye colour: Green
Personality:
You can call him smug, complacent, conceited, egoistic, egotistical, snobbish, stuck-up, stuffy, superior, vainglorious but what you can't call him is weak. He knows what he wants and he knows how to get it. Valentine is very proud and will only rarely consider the opinions of others.
He's flirtatious by nature and knows how to use every one of his qualities to his advantage.
Valentine rarely shows his true feelings, keeping them for special moments only. He's fiery and has a temper.
History:
Raised as the heir to the throne of men, Valentine always got what he wanted, when he wanted. After all, his parents were the King and Queen.
By the time he was five, everybody loved him. And even as a boy he used all the attention he could get.
He wasn't very pleased with the idea of ruling, not at all actually. He's a rogue and it would limit his... opportunities. Five years ago, his father decided it was time so he was left with no other option for the first time in his life.

"I'm sure its alot of fun, I would totally abuse my powers though, I would summon all the food I could, and just give it away, or something.." He chuckled, and looked at the steak Kenai was still chomping down on.
Kain laughed softly. And smiled smuggly at the compliment about his agility and grace. "Oh, well, Kenai actually was a kitten, when we met." He recalled, and remembered the small frightened panther in the middle of the woods. "I found him." He paused, and looked over at his magnificant pet. "I don't even know how he got here, but I was walking in the woods, and he was cowering in fear. Certainly, someone put him here." He said, and thought of the possibilties. "He could've been found by someone, and they didn't know where to put him, and dropped him off here, or he could've been sold to someone...and they dropped him off here..." He stopped, and shook his head, "I really don't know where he came from, all I know is that he bonded with me increadibly fast, and doesn't leave my side." He smiled at his panther, who just gleamed back at him. "He's my best friend now, I don't know what I'd do without him." Kain chuckled, knowing very well that was true. He would probably be dead by now, if Kenai wasn't there to attack intruders, and predators.
